The KORG Module series of iOS apps is equipped with a professional-grade sound library and can be used in the studio, for music lessons, and when working live. With this major update,
we’ve added a new drum module, recorded in a top-tier recording studio. Both KORG Module Pro and KORG Module can be updated to Version 5 for free.
Additionally, we’ve expanded the polyphony of KORG Module to make use of the performance capabilities of the latest iPads and iPhones. This enhancement allows for seamless playing without worrying about notes being cut off, even when using layer/split functions or switching sounds. Enjoy the versatile and high-quality sounds of KORG Module in any musical setting!
KORG Module version 5: Added a new drum module
New drum module added
The newly added drum module delivers studio-quality sound, recorded in a top-tier recording environment. The drum kits, expertly tuned by drum specialists, are recorded with up to eight velocity layers and feature up to eight round robin samples per layer. This ensures that no single sample is triggered repeatedly, even while playing quickly, allowing for a natural and dynamic drum sound. You can enjoy both a tight sound using only close mics, and a room sound that includes the natural ambiance of the recording space.
Expansion sound library
An expansion sound library is also available to further enhance the drum sound in module. The newly added Wild Kits is a high-quality sound library that adds two drum kits designed for funk, jazz, and rock. The first is the "VOX Telstar 2020 Kit" that uses modern technology to bring back the sounds of this legendary VOX drum kit from the 1960’s. It delivers a warm midrange and a rich vintage texture for an authentic, nostalgic feel. The second, the "Sakae Evolved Kit", is refined to suit modern music. Unlike standard drum kits, it features a punchy, solid sound that stands out in all types of rock and pop.
Expanded polyphony for greater freedom
We have expanded KORG Module’s maximum polyphony to make use of the performance capabilities of the latest iPads and iPhones. The system automatically optimizes the polyphony for each device*, and you can also manually set it up to a maximum of 256 to suit your needs. This enhancement ensures seamless performance without worrying about note dropouts, even when using layers/splits, switching sounds, or utilizing SST (Smooth Sound Transition). Now, you can focus entirely on your playing!
